BEST DAMN CL AD EVER! Deserves its own thread!

Ya, no Sony LCD should suffer burn in permanently. Even on most plasma's now it's tough to ruin a tv with burn-in. A weekend is a long time though... Funny shit. :)

    W58 Question...

Ya, definitely just replace the shifter bushings with the Marlin Crawler ones. I even had my W-58 rebuilt. No regrets. Shifts like butter and feels oh-so-tight. Paid ~900 for the rebuild and would do it again. :)

    Look what I has

Nice ride, Joe! I had an 87 a year back. Didn't really like it too much in stock form as I had a base model with no power anything, but it was definitely a quick little ride around the corners. If I had the money to buy some fun stuff for it, I may not have sold it so fast.

    7mge-gte blocks?

IJ, what are the other ports? Are all the red circled ports oil feeds?

Anyone with an engine undercover please take a glance...(composite possibility)

I bought an undercover brand new a couple years ago. Before installing it, I mapped out the cover on some engineering paper. It's to scale, and should be accurate to within an inch everywhere. It's only 2-D though, so it doesn't have the depth change noted except that most the holes were...

    Best Rims For Red 1989?

Agreed, but that's where the polished lip comes in to save the day.

    7mge-gte blocks?

Rebuild your motor. Unless your block is complete trash, it'd be easier to rebuild yours than to try to piece together a GE block for GTE use...

    Still wanting a cofortable ride..?

I've driven/rode in a few lowered mkIII's and the KYBs with Eibachs are rather comparable to stock as far as ride quality, IMO.

    Ive just about had enough.

Ya, I know what you mean. Pictures are gold for that kind of thing. The tsrm can really help too. In all honesty you just have to take your time and dig in. If you stay organized you should be fine. Remember, you've got this place to help tell you where xxxxx goes. ;)

    Ive just about had enough.

Swapping a 1JZ or 2JZ with no rebuild isn't any better than a 7M. :nono: If you want ANY, let me repeat that again, ANY used motor to last you a while, you need to check it out. That means checking bearing clearances, polishing crank, new bearings if necessary, new rings wouldn't hurt either...

    2J Response Build

Damn, very clean car you have there. This is very motivating for me to get me swap done this year while I have a big garage!

Suprarx7nut 's 7MGE BHG repair job done right (hopefully)

Came across this and figured I'd update just for kicks since I hit a milestone a while back... 300K miles!!! I'm now at 303k running strong. Engine has been rebuilt due to previous bhgs, but otherwise no major parts have really been replaced beyond basic maintenance on this 20 year old...

Got hit tonight, :) Fixed with pics on Post 91

Unless there is other damage to that body, I think it'd be crazy not to at least try to pop out the dents, and maybe use some body filler on it to see if you can get it back to normal. If you don't have experience with something that just means you haven't taken the change to learn it yet...

    Unintended consequences

hmm. Interesting. Never really considered that, but we dont get that wild a blizzard in Denver so maybe it doesn't matter here so much.

    New member w/ 7mgte swapped 4runner

Welcome! Great ride, I love those old 4runners. Been thinking about trying to get one for my winter ride so I can garage the Supra through the winters. Relating to the 7M, I stand by this site as possibly the single BEST resource if you can ask a "smart" question. A bunch of the old guys here...
