I feel your pain on this one. I just had to put a motor in my 86.5. It's not alot of fun. Of course, it's a perfect opportunity to put on new belts, hoses, HG, etc while the motor is out. Or spend some $$$ for a GTE swap!

Try using a stethoscope or a 2-3 foot long section of vaccuum line to listen to various parts of the engine. Wherever it's the loudest is where your problem lies!

I'd imagine they use the cars for parts. There are a lot of companies that specialize in the stuff. Plus, imagine the value of that Viper's engine alone.
