Beautiful. I had an old skyline like that in the last gt4. They look 100x more gorgeous in that video. The great editing, filming and music really bring it up a notch. Very impressive.
Thanks for sharing!
I've seen that, but i've done 3 builds myself and never noticed it on my own blocks. And one had 320k miles...
I'd say keep looking. You can definitely find a good block and you will surely be punished for using a poor block with cracks if you settle.
She's in the garage for the winter. After a quick night pulling the intake piping and wiring harness out it's time to start planning out where I'll move many of the components in the bay.
Hacked to hell wiring harness in desperate need of a 100% replacement.

The amount of time depends on a large number of factors. What you should watch for is that it starts idling below 1000 anywhere near operating temps. If the car is warm and idles at 700 then dont worry, you're just fine. :)
Produced water trucking baby! I sold flowmeters used to monitor flow onto trucks to be taken away from the well and also from loading points to be taken up to the wells. The mining, drilling industries are still high in demand and have many, many ways to earn a good living.

Full engine rebuild to stock specs is easy for under 1k. I've done it twice. Should only take you 2 Weeks. If you can get a daily then take your time and do it right. :)

Another thing to keep in mind as a new Supra owner: A stock, well maintained mk3 is much funner to drive than a slightly faster, less reliable, poorly running mk3. Spend more money on all the basics and save the mods for later. A stock NA in great shape is still a fun ride.
Change all fluids. Watch for cooling system leaks. I'd be amazed if it didn't have at least a few. New plugs, rotor, cap. Start saving for decent tires and enjoy it as is. :)
If the car is warm, set it to 10 and you're golden. :)
And good work getting a timing light and diving in so fast. I have a feeling you'll be just fine around here.

Since i'm a huge fan of teaching one to fish rather than handing out
food, I'd suggest you read the tsrm. It tells you exactly what needs to be done. Nothing more, nothing less.

The only thing that could get me to debate getting a different chassis mk3 is if I could find a super clean 92, sunroof or hardtop, shadow-grey. You have found a beautiful chassis and looks like you have great plans for it. Great photography too!
Good luck and keep the pics coming! :)
If you dont mind living wherever a company wants you to and working long physical labor hours doing something a little dangerous, there is a LOT of money to be made in this world. Both in the US and other places.
