The electrical diagram posted online at cygnus is for model year 89 and is not applicable to any other year. I've already found a handful of differences with my 90. An 87 won't even be close to an 89 or 90-92.
I bought a perfectly good wiring diagram for $30 on ebay. :)
Agreed, that certainly will NOT work.
The stock Toyota one is strange. It has an open bottom with a fancy spade terminal inside. Definitely not a basic spade and a basic spade will NOT work. I've been trying to find the terminals and the connector brand new and I've had ZERO luck. I can't find...
That's exactly the facility I'm.applying at and where I want to work. They just hire a small fraction of engineers there compared to the headquarters and plants in Michigan.
So it seems at least...

Updated with the LED needle process. I had more pics, but I lost them somehow. If I come across them I will add to the post.
Albert has done this lighting as well and used a completely different manufacturing process.
I have all the correct pins EXCEPT the damn TNS pins and the oil pressure sender and a few water neck sensors. I got a good used harness (~7 years old) that I *may* have to hack into to steal a few connectors/terminals. I'm hoping I can source some of the terminals brand new, but otherwise I'll...
Still working some random Toyota contacts seeing if breaking into the industry is feasible if I want to stay out of the Detroit area. I would live just about anywhere except a few areas of the country. Unfortunately, one of the areas I'm trying to avoid is where most the automotive engineering...
For anyone that sees this in the future:
The oil pressure has a very forceful tab you must pull up on. Takes a lot of force compared to most other connectors. Once the top tab is pulled out, it comes out like any other terminal. It takes so much force, I was sure that tab wasn't a movable...
Nofx... My head is exploding.
You're receiving expert advice from half a dozen people that have TONS of experience with this motor. It might be a good idea to step back, understand that there are many people here who know better than you. Accept that fact.
Depending on how old you are, there's...
Black Ruby Pearl:
After a fresh wash/wax with some sunlight. You can really see the pearl in the sun when it's clean. Car almost looks like a dark red/cinnamon color. Don't mind the swirling and slightly opaque paint... :(
Haha. You have hard evidence. You have scientific proof. I'm not sure what else you are looking for... ?
If you choose to take it out or not run EGR or whatever, just be sure to use a JDM ECU or run a piggyback so you dont fry your engine...
Your question is pretty simple, but the answer is very complex. I'm mapping out the entire engine harness and have been for weeks and I'm still not done. Testing a harness is very difficult, especially if it's been cut into. The online wiring diagram tells you and shows you where every single...
Holy Hell that's cool. Unfortunate, but neat to see none-the-less.
Thanks for sharing the picture! Perfect evidence of the danger of running lean under power.
Lol.
While I understand its annoying when these guys rag on you, you need to understand you are receiving high value advice here.
You couldn't find any mechanic that could help you or tell you 1/3 of the useful info you've received here in this thread alone.
You have to understand its a...
