    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Teeny update from Canukistan: I'm stuck in a hotel room in Vancouver right now, but I did order a few parts: Aaron at Driftmotion will be sending me a new set of brake lines to fit the Cobra brake upgrade- the final parts that I needed to complete the conversion. I also just ordered new front...

A little help if you will.

By 'timing is dead on', do you mean the ignition timing? Can you verify that the cam timing is definitely correct? ps- Love the new pic, JJ. It should be entitled- "Meanwhile, Down under..." OR- "Meanwhile, during I.J.'s commute"...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

It's an EBay unit from a long time ago. It's also being replaced for a slightly larger one. It fills the entire space perfectly between the two frame rails, but it was with a kaminari bumper, set back a bit. So I can't say as to wether it'd fill the factory grill.

    Should I pull the trigger?

I would love to have an NA for daily driving. If I didn't have the MR2, I'd have probably gotten one. Ps- MA71 is the designation for the turbo chassis. Sounds like you're looking at an MA70.

Attention Cobra / PBR front brake users: Maybe you can help me...

True, but they don't sell the front Cobra units. In fact, Ford doesn't even sell them anymore- you have to go to THEIR source- PBR in Australia. I suggest that anyone doing this upgrade be sure to buy the calipers WITh the brackets, and not bare, like me. Luckily Airhead was able to hook me up...

    Difference in knock sensors

^ That's a pretty good deal. In my case, I bought two knock sensors still connected to the knock sensor harness, so I got both plugs included. Seems that some Toyota vehichles had KS wiring subharnesses, which unplug from the engine harness. Kind of a good idea.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Got some good progress done today on the front. I started taking off front body panels to facilitate my access, as well as reduce my workload when I start on the bodywork stage: Removed old busted Kaminari bumper: Then the header panel, bumper reinforcement and grill: Then the inner and...
