My understanding is that you're supposed to link the turbo coolant feed to the return if you delete turbo cooling. I believe that Driftmotion sells the appropriate kit.

I would put it back in, since it's job is to reduce pulsation. But it does sound like there's another problem.

Have you done a compression test? I can't see why you'd be spraying out of the cps seal with normal blowby.

If worse comes to worse, that bolt that's hitting the intercooler is holding the steering shimmy damper on. You CAN take that entire shimmy damper off, with very little noticeable effect. But that's a worst case scenario.
