I would still like to see a bolt-in replacement for the front lip(89+).
Something that is only slightly larger than oem(if at all), but has a foreward jutting edge.
Yup, but there's no distortion to the inner surface, or the plane of the mounting face.
And thus, no affect(wobble) on the plane of rotation of the belt face.
That price sounds pretty much impossible.
If they actually used oem valves, springs, & retainers, then the parts cost alone would exceed that total price.
I would expect to pay at least $320 for just the machine work.
Lol. Apparently, i was doing something wrong.
Too mush polishing reduces efficiency.
Anyway, as luck would have it, the cam gear seller emailed me, saying that he was out of stock on the silver cam gears, and issued me a refund, so turns out no $$ wasted after all.

Some sorta good news/bad news.
The replacement of the backplate bolts with some buttonhead screws did indeed solve the clearance issue
with the AEM cam gears. Also, after taking apart the damaged gears, i found that the two depressions on each gear actually fell...
Based on his interior color being burgundy, I really can't see any sort of blue or green, period.
Unless he's willing to swap out interiors, I suggest pearl black, the mahogany or burgundy pearl(I seem to be agreeing alot with you lately, Absolute Speed), OR a graphite/ dk gray color.
Yes:
Most people(including myself) would suggest either Eibach or H&R springs, paired up with tockico blue, KYB or(if you're baller) Koni or Bilstein struts.
Koni's cost more, but you can adjust their stiffness.
Poly bushings- Most people go with Energy suspension, because they're affordable...
Helicoiled the head up to 7/16" today.
taped up all the openings. LOTS of aluminum shavings to deal with.
Test fit of the manifold.
I had to port it quite a bit to match it up to the gasket(ports weren't even round).
