    Running LEAN after upgrades

True, you would get a lean condition at idle and light cruise, but it would go pig rich at wide open throttle, since the leak point would be causing pressurized air to escape. What diagnostic codes are stored?

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Sorry, no number for it, but it's simply an Ebay TRD knob. They're pretty cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Manual-Leather-Shifter-Shift-Knob-Red-Stitch-TRD-Logo-Black-JDM-Fit-Toyota-Scion-/252506676033?hash=item3aca921b41:g:~UoAAOSwSHZWc8CK&vxp=mtr

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

The Neo is held in place by a lexan mount. It is simply 1/8" sheet lexan that I heated with a heat gun, and bent to roughly a 135 degree angle, and riveted it into the top edge of the glove box. I then used 3M lock tape(like Velcro, but way stronger), so that it can be mounted, or pulled out for...

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Just a quick update on my short build thread, since I've had the car for about a year now. Car is running and looking great, but with all things old, constant maintainence is required. Along with that, occasionally comes upgrades. Nothing serious, just BPU. One issue the car had, was that a...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Thanks for looking through it all. Unfortunately, I haven't been very active with the project lately. When last I was working on the '88, It had developed a bad oil burning issue. I pulled the turbo(brand new PTE6266) and it had been pushing oil through the rear seal. I really don't know why, as...

    Running LEAN after upgrades

You need to use a multimeter to verify that the signal wire to each knock sensor shows no continuity to ground. If it does, this indicates that a strand or two of the shielding wire is in contact with the signal wire, and you will always get a code 52. PS- Exactly what type of wire did you use...

    Code 52 engine light

Toyota today, does not understand the Toyotas of yesterday. What's probably happened, is that the rf shielding on the knock sensor wiring has probably gone bad. The knock sensor rewire is one of the most common repairs we have to do to our cars, but once its fixed right, it's good forever...

    Fernando's white street car build

Awesome job on everything, man. This is destined to be one of the Supras that everyone remembers.

Just another 7mgte idling like crap and missing under load

You have 550cc injectors, but no way to control the fuel?? You need something to balance them back out, like a Lexus afm housing, or a piggyback fuel controller. Changing the base fuel pressure alone wouldn't provide the precision you'll need for this.

    Unsure of Overheating Cause

Better that the gauge is screwed, instead of your engine. :)

Glass media taking chunks out of coolant passages

I've had that happen to my head. If you use traditional green antifreeze, or straight water, or get combustion gases into the coolant jacket- any of those can cause pitting.

    Rack and Pinion Install

Good job. I have the same filter myself, but it's up at the cooler.

    Charcoal canister update

I used a Celica charcoal canister. It's about 1-2" less in diameter, and mounts to the same bottom plate as stock.

Supra Dynasty The Saving, Death & Resurrection of My A70 (V-Mount)

Cool story, cool build. Glad to see that not everything is JZ these days.

    The Bearded Beast's rebuild

Lot of cool stuff done to the engine there. But: 1. How did you lap the block surface? 2. Did you cover the piston pin bores prior to sand blasting the rods? 3. Did you just sandblast the underside of the pistons, or the sides and tops as well? 4. What coating is now on the pistons? 5. Why did...

    1986.5 7mge -> 2jzge my very first build.

Nice to see YOU updating your thread as well. Especially when you're plunking down more money on a custom gearbox than most of us spent on buying our cars.
