I think the main reason I would buy that car would be because it hasn't been hacked or worn out by previous owners... AND it's a lot cheaper than buying all new parts from Toyota and restoring an 87T with 200k miles to the same condition IMO...

It sounds like the engine wasn't put together properly...you should have went and gotten more plastiguage... I vote that you keep it...remember, these things that are happening are only the Supra testing your worthiness ;).
