If your paint is new, I don't think you'll need to claybar it. From what I understand, the claybar is used mainly to remove surface contaminants (that stuff that makes your paint feel gritty/rough when you run your hand accross it).
Has your paint been buffed already? Or does it have any...
Have you checked every part of your cooling system? Elaborate on how it overheats, what happens, when it does, etc.
The idling and miss problems could be attributed to a boost leak...that's where I would look first, it could also be caused by your TPS being bad or out of spec as well.
Make sure you get a Toyota thermostat. Check the little hose clamp on the line that runs to the overflow bottle...mine was steaming and needed to be tightened (worm clamp).
If you had pressure, then it isn't your radiator cap...I would look at the radiator possibly being clogged, or the water pump being bad (fins may be erroded). Or you could have a blockage in one or more of your head/block coolant passages. I would also pressure test the cooling system, just...

It's not anti-seize...it's moly lube.
And you will need enough oil for an oil change, 2 gals of coolant, and RTV silicone, and whether or not your decide to spray the hg with some kind of sealant.

Well, I'd say that since the cat is really old, it probably isn't very effective anymore...but if you get a new 2nd cat put on when you remove your pre-cat, you'll likely pass.
How hard is the IC to remove? I think mine probably needs to be cleaned, but I'm wondering if it's actually worth doing. Would simple green max work as well as gasoline?
