Sounds like it could be rod knock...that's when one of the rod bearings gets worn out and loose, and can't firmly hold the rod in place, so it rattles around...usually caused by oil starvation or contamination (coolant, or other foreign material in the oil).
Do a search...rod knock happens...
Yea, I believe it was revised... I have a new headgasket and ARP studs torqued to 85 ft/lbs...It has been fine for over a year and 5000 miles @ stock boost, and has had cooling system problems the entire time, and the engine has gotten pretty hot twice, but the head gasket is still fine.
I didn't forget...I didn't have time...I was stuck on the 15 freeway in traffic for 2 1/2 hours, and then I got home, packed, got back on the freeway for another 2 1/2 hours... Unpacked the car, and by that time it was around 5:30...So I went eight hours w/out eating...
Haha, Aaron sold it to me...:nono:
And i'm not in BB yet, we leave on Thurs.
I don't think I'm sick...yet...turns out I just hadnt eaten anything all day...lol.
ugh...my car's cooling system sprung ANOTHER leak....:nono:
This time it's the fitting on the top of the thermostat housing that goes to the turbo that's leaking...I am going to fix it as soon as I get back home next week. At which time I will switch to Toyota red coolant, or the car doesn't...
