The supra has been parked for the last 2-weeks, and I finally took it out today...and it was SO DAMN HOT outside, that the glue inside my shift knob started melted, and the knob kept falling off...:(
So I said fuck it and went and bought a TRD shift knob!! :D:D
Probably one of the turbo coolant lines...there could be a tiny hole in one of them...inspect them VERY closely, with a very bright light, if it were me, I would just replace them if they have unknown mileage on them.
Stock LSD is really strong, just like the R154. Just make sure your differential subframe mounting bolts are tight, or you will have a cracked subframe in no time. Ask me how I know..:(
86.5 Supras had no check engine light? What in the world??
So the starter turns the motor, but it won't start running?
When my alternator went bad, three lights (CEL, battery, and one other one I can't remember...) would come on intermittently, then after a while, they stayed on and the car...
Then just drive the Supra...any high-performance car is going to be high maintenance. Either that, or buy a new car and have a car payment.
And besides, when i'm in the Benz, no ricers ever look twice! ;)
I have a $25 torque wrench from Autozone that I used to torque my ARP head studs with...haven't had a BHG yet...lol.
And I also hate it when shops use air guns on lugs...I took my supra to a tire shop to have one of the rear tires checked for leaks, and the guy started putting the lugs on with...
