I have parted 5 MKIII's, and just today on MKIII #6, I just found that screw under the hazard switch.I guess it never gets put back in, if ever taken out.

You can't verify the mileage on the JDM motors. I guess you just gotta believe. I was told mine had 30,000, but who knows. It runs great, so I don't care. I got mine 2nd hand, but I have heard nothing but good about Jarco. GrimJack knows all!
