All vehicles should be able to pull away with no gas if the clutch is released slowly enough. If not, somethings wrong.
Theach them clutch first, then add gas. It will calm them down a little. They won't have to think about all the pedals to start.
BUT.......nobody drives MY Supra
3 Things.....
1. If it's Turbo, it's probably worth the money, as 89-92's have higher value than 86-88's. These problems are common, and easy fix with Supramania help.
2. If it's not turbo, it just not worth the money
3. Do you want your son learning how to drive in a Turbo car with...
2 really good points.......are you still doing good on ebay? My parts have died on there (sludt5). Nobody is chasing stock 7m parts anymore. My parts I have gotten thru you are holding up fantasticly
May those who flame never have a daughter to enjoy!
Now let's work on that first phrase........."make it run Daddy"
My little girl is 5, and she likes to sit on Daddy's lap and look at Supra parts on the computer
I've always heard the JDM's were a little stronger than the US models. Don't know if that is true, but mine seems to be. I got mine second hand. The guy I got it from had installed a new head gasket, but the motor was just the block, internals, and head. I had to do the rest. It seems way...
When he said it's really not bad...........what he meant to say, is, once the black console panel and the instrument panel are removed, you have 8bolts left to get the dash out. Do a dash removal search, it was so damn easy for me when I saw this. And that's after parting 5 MKIII's before I...
Too far for Duane? Jake prolly wouldn't be ready, but he's planning on having 2000 HP hehe, and he's too damn far too. I'd love to be there all 225 HP, but it'd take a week drive time plus my time at the event. Too many miles to drive, and I can't afford to fly. Gonna soon be a lot of high HP...
Good information! Thanks everybody. I must clear it up a bit. Neither motor is turbo at this time. I don't know Nissan motors at all, so I don't lnow if the sr20 was ever offered N/A. This one is black top, and twin cam, but it does have an exhaust manifold on it that is for an N/A. The cam...
PM before you come this way, and I'll send ph#. I rolled through Montgomery yesterday twice on my trip to the Atlanta area. I went and picked up a 240sx. Check out the other engine tech section for pics.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this thread into me and Jay conversation
Aren't you between Montgomery and Birmingham? They both have a few Supras don't they?
I'm in Mobile (area), and I know we will meet sooner or later. We've got 5 members of either SM or SF. The MKIV guys are SF only. I got to meet a bunch of the Mississippi guys when we went to Gulfport...
Once disconnected, the ECU needs to re-learn Idle. Crank it, and get your RPMs up over 2000 (if you can) and hold it there for a minute or two.
Also, if your EFI fuse was removed for some reason during your swap, be sure it did not go back in backwards. That caused me idle problems after...
New stage 3 clutch will be here Wednesday, so next weekend I will swap trannys and upgrade at the same time. Maybe my new lightweight flywheel will keep me even with him of the line.
95 in a 55 = 40mph over = jail time in my parts.
All it's gonna take is one cop who's life partner (hey it's the bay area, so wife or other) gave them a hard morning, and that could get costly.
We have an 8 mile long bridge over Mobile bay....I know where you are coming from. It's hard...
