Haha, thats me! Yea i do need some parts actually. I need a radiator fan (just the fan, not the clutch), the turbo hose down to the intercooler (the one attatched to the turbo) and now a rear carpet (grey). Since the battery acid incident, my carpet it just done for. Any help would be GREAT...
^^^well....im gonna wait. I just sent out the spare turbo i have for some 57trim upgrade. It had minimal shaft play and the turbine was mint (short of dirt/grease) so i'm hoping it doesnt need a rebuild too because i'm not sure i have enough money for that right now. I will know monday or tues...
Welll........i found the problem...I made a few calls today and eventually discovered the tubes to the greddy e-valve were switched :slap: . Past owner installed it wrong so the boost spike is now fixed and I was already experimenting today with it...big difference. I accidentally it 14.5PSI b/c...
Its cool :bigthumb: . I was just easily annoyed this morning...i woke up with the worst hang over i've had for awhile and then realized i was due in at work in an hour...so my bad too.
As far as the other problems are concerned, yes. Hose is fitted with a rediator hose temporarily and has...
to be honest im not sure i think they're pulled, but they all work properly...i just can't get the boost in order. I know i'd do well because i saw the power curve where the boost spike was vs. wasn't
first off....rebuilding and not replacing pistons is idiotic. Second, they're toyota factory replacements with PROPER size/specs. The mechanic who built the motor happens to drag/race 7m's so he knows what he's doing
Well, after all my cleaning up last night of the battery acid (which took FORVER BTW) I got to wake up and go tune and test what kind of power i'm getting from the rebuild and mods. He threw it on and after about an hour of tuning anything BUT impressive numbers came out...about 220HP max and...
If its in good shape and grey, definately...
BTW...its now about 6HRS after the incident and its STILL eating away...i just got more bakind soda and poured it direcly on and it still sizzled quite a bit...i got the majority or it out of the body but the carpet is still getting eaten
^^yea, i still hear it eating the metal...im on my way to the store for more baking soda...im out.
its still eating at the carpet as well...the baking soda cant get into the carpet like the acid can
BTW the carpet is OUT of the car...its sitting next to the street as it slowly disinegrates :(
Well if you've been up with my other threads you'd know i was in the process of trying to find a battery location in the trunk so my targa would fit. Someone told me Optima's fit well on there side. So yesterday i took out my old battery case and the supports in my trunk while i was test...
Remember, this engine is freshly rebuilt and gone through very carefully. The guy who built it races 7m's. It only happens when its to op temp. The vibration carries through 1500-3K in any gear at any speed. I runs extremely smooth the first 10 minutes of driving or so. I was thinking maybe more...
