Well a week and a half ago i did a boost leak test. We heard a POP noise during which and heard air leaking towards the front of the engine. We couldn't figure out what it was. People suggested it was the ISC valve but it didn't sound like it was coming from there.
Well i've noticed my oil...
:nono:
obviously you can't read well:sarcasm: . i never said they didn't exist....i know they exist. They need to be created at cheaper costs, hence an "easier manufacture process" :nono:
Edit: certain memory metals ARE used already and for "value". Anybody ever wonder what those...
Its all about material properties. Just wait until some of the materials chemical engineers are designing come out to have an easier manufacture process and become more mainstreams. Metals with properties 1000x tensile strength of steel yet 100x lighter.....imaging what they could build then...
side effects of this? symptoms rather? Doesnt the ISC connect to a hose on the intake? or is that my imagination....if it does, wouldnt that hose then leak?
SO i did a boost leak test today set for about 15PSI. I found numerous as expected since my recent hard pipe install, my biggest one being a torn vacum line. I tightened the last clamp and finally everything sounded right. Then i put my ear up to the PCV hose from the TB to the intake. It was...
i laughed and laughed at this....then some more, thankgod it was only 3 minutes, it started to hurt around the 2 min mark

enjoy
edit: found this thought it was really funny and creative...
watch your boost gauge, make sure it holds boost through the RPM range and doesn't simply bleed out. Also, be on the look out for erratic boost readings (*boost spikes) most noticeable at the start of boost
Well i recently swapped my entire ignition system except the CPS with an 89 with 73000 original miles. I even traded ecu's with another '88. no changes.
HOWEVER, i have noticed something which was interesting last night. I recently bought terrible gas from sheetz. it was 92/93 and my car...
Well....you can see my mods in my sig. they include 550's and a walbro and AFPR. I had the j-tube attachted for well over 3K miles. No problems. FP at idle was about 40-42PSI and 56-59ish full throttle. Soon enough i bypassed the J-tube. No difference TBO. No difference in FP at all.
