I wouldn't think someone needed it for their Honda, but hell those guys are not too bright. A member of the Supra community does not necessarily mean a member here.
98 straight pages of reading............who's got nothing better to do????????
And Aaron's wife has got to cook as good as mine!
I'm thinking August 15th or so. I want to finance Ryan's return, and let him see what 90 (or 100) Really feels like. I know that's not fair, cause I could care...
It saddens me that a member of the MKIII community would stoop to this type of assinine activity.
I doubt it would end up in this end of the country, but if it does, I'll kick some ass and not take your reward money.
only way I can see it not breaking anything is if you were doing this in the yard, not on pavement. Even with stands that is risky.
I'm not trying to be an ass here, but I'm getting this picture in my head............Car in grass, or possibly not level, not on jack stands, and hand gripped...
Jay how did the clutch work progress today??
Ok, now that's out of the way...........on to the other topics here!
MK3forme..........your car IS very S.E.X.Y.!.........just looks black in many photos. I like the blue much better than black, let it show.
Ryan............Looks like you...
Welcome!
The car looks like a good starting point. You have one of the best colors, leather interior.........and the rare Super Monitor. The work will be fun, and none of it is hard with the help with the folks here.
Where is this school? And why have we never heard of this prototype...
I was taught in Tractor Trailer driving school that any vehichle with a clutch should have enough power to pull itself from an idle. This means you can tells the first time driver to forget the gas pedal all together, until he/she gets the feel of the clutch. They will need to let the clutch out...
The anti lock light might mean you didn't plug the wire back from the tranny. For some reason when I put my motor back in the car, with a different tranny, my wire was several inches too short. So, my light is on too.
And rumor has it, knock sensor problems never go away.
As Justin said.......we may not chat with you daily..........But your presence is greatly appreciated here. I too will someday swing a little business your way. I hope you can get past the humility, and stay with us as friends.
What I have always liked about this forum is that the mod staff...
Jay, be sure to do a proper break in of the clutch before testing to see if it will hold. Yes, this does take away from the 90 days. I'm sure Vixen would have let you ride in her car occasionally if you would have waited on what you really wanted. Sounds to me like you are a little tentative...
Be careful son that car's not a toy!!!!! lol Just try to keep it off the lawns, and on the road in one piece. There has been a rash of Supra disaster over the last 6 months. Don't add ourself to the list.
Try it in different positions (NO, I'm not talking about sex, but you can use this principal there too). I had a seat that did that in most of it's positions, but would be fine either all the way up, or at a point where someone must have kept it all the time.
My driver seat now doesn't fall...
Looks like a nice DD car...........BUt that body style is ugly as hell. I'd hide my face as I got out of it. I've driven some ugly cars in my day as well. I once had an 83 Dodge Colt that I then upgraded to an 86 Isuzu I-mark. These were family cars that the wife mainly drove, but I got a chance...
My back up car is the white 87 Turbo I'm driving now. My plan has been to always have 2, so when one is down, I always have a Supra. I got caught with my pants down when I totalled my 90, and I had to rush the 87 to life. I'm gonna drive it and take my time with my new 89 shell.
You may also get a lot more rear end noise with that open. It looks like you get a lot of structure strength there. What are your intentions there if you don't mind me asking?
Who is this Noah89T you speak of???????? How has he been? I wish he would post more...........like maybe do a build thread or something.
To keep the lift off the bumper, you can chock the wheels of the lift. That was passed along to me AFTER I already had my bumper dent.
