I love the fact that you are taking care of a Supra with the less desireable motor/trans. It's a beautiful car and deserves good care, no matter what. A BIG thumbs up to you so far.
The hardest thing to find is gonna be the hardware for the spoiler. Try to find one with all hardware. I've got one to sell without all of the hardware, but i'd search for one with it if I were you. Also, the antenna is different, so you will want to find one of those too. You can use the one...
Whatever you do......DO NOT, under any circumstances go for a ride in his car. You will be ruined on that N/A Automatic before you ever get started. My suggestion is to ride in Vonda's car, which is no slouch itself, and won't be quite as bad on you. Feel comforted that her car did beat Jay on...
My family never helps. They all point and laugh, and affectionately call my car "one of the junk cars". I'll get the last laugh, and sooner or later Dave will too.
Where are you in Alabama? And we need pictures of this so-called build. This little ole state of Alabama is getting quite a few of us Supra owners. And yes, most of us are living out our own mid-life crisis.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hope you get all sorts of Supra goodies.
Many of us let our cars sit for much longer than 3 months at a time. SEveral builds around here have taken 1-2 years or longer, me included. Just because a non turbo automatic is not the most popular car on these boards, doesn't mean you can't drive it and be happy with it until you are older...
I just went out and looked at a set of burgundy handles I have. You should be able to use a passenger side shadow grey from here. I know that doesn't make too much easier, but may help the search. The switch holes are the same on both sides in our cars.
I'm not getting too excited yet tho. You have to get to screws on both sides of that thing. And then you have to raise the whole assenbly in there. I hope I don't have to brake the hose off the othere side in the bay to get it to move. This could prove to be more complicated that I think. But...
Wouldn't it be the same handle as our passenger handle? I think the holes are the same side on both.
BUT, are you sure the screws didn't just pull out of the handle?
The new stance is really growing on me Ken, just taking some getting used to.
I'm SO EXCITED!!! I just now got a chance to go outside and do a better search for the needed water pipe. I found it, and it will be a very easy job. I may have to pull the dash, and I may not. The section of pipe...
So far, I have received a subscription to Import Tuner......Yipee
Oh, and I am already loot........spelled Ludt. I'll try to get a piece of Mrs loot and post pictures. There goes the work safe Grim!:naughty: :biglaugh:
