Rule of thumb is 90% of injector duty, so for 440's it's about 396 RWHP.

Just buy an aftermarket radiator ($40 new at most parts stores) and some oil lines and put the radiator wherever you want. I have a radiator on my PS system in my 87 (in it's former life the radiator was the oil cooler from a 4AG). Works pretty damn good for me.

If it's within your budget buy Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. They are very sticky and work very well in both the wet and dry. From what I've heard, they work decent in the snow, you just have to warm them up first (take it easy for the first 5-10 minutes).
