Odd. Ah well. No problem bro, hope all goes well. Hopefully you won't have to buy another sensor because you will have to hunt one down like I did. Adam

The red arrow. You need a 19mm wrench to take it off. The only way you can get a new one is if you find someone parting out a 1J. I've luckily found mine in Kentucky, should be here mid next week. Here's a better pic. http://www.supramania.com/forums/sho...43&postcount=1

    Project Clean 87

Since I need tools that I don't have (especially 4 good jackstands) I decided to do a few other projects. I moved the intercooler brackets to the bottom of the intercooler, moved the PS fluid cooler back to the passenger side, moved the radiator overflow tank back to its spot, and got rid of...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the 1G's only came in the narrow body Supra's?

Check your air temperature sensor. It's located on the intake manifold next to the throttle cable mount and PCV valve. IIRC it's green. It's common for those wires to break or the sensor to get clogged up. You can take it off and clean it off with non-chlorinated carb cleaner and a gentle...

What about the air temp sensor? Can someone post a pic of where I can find it (I know, somewhere near the air intake pipe) and what it looks like? It is in the low 40's here and recently it was below 0. I'm not 100% sure on the loose vacuum lines, I know the IC piping is good since I'm...

Hey new and just figured i'd introduce myself.

ROFL at Jay. Welcome Drew. Can you post pics up of your baby? Smart move dropping in another motor and rebuilding the BHG motor on the side. Very good way to have a nice motor and be able to do major work easier.

Simple, they were free (I put the matching piece on the other side) and because I'm going to convert to the 89+ molding since it's lighter and moreso because it doesn't have a strip of metal in it which likes to retain bends (see front of drivers door molding).

    1J won't start

I just regapped the plugs to .028 and took it for a good test drive. Once fully warmed up I lauched it and redlined it through the top of 3rd gear. At that time the CEL came on. The car is still running pig rich and will run 10-11:1 and will hit below 10:1 when idling. When I got home I left...
