With a turbo that size its probably won't have much time to spool in 1st and 2nd. I know i have difficulty spooling much at all in 1st with even a 57 trim. On a side note, the turbo sounds very cool :) More vids please

As JJ basically said, 51 will not turn off unless the throttle is touched. Its real time. It will not hurt performance also. Your problem lies elsewhere. Maybe try a NEW TPS....for one. They are not pricey. Personally, i'd check first to make sure I have spark on all cylinders

The white wire is not long enough to reach the alt. It needs to be extended and re-crimped. The crimp, obviously, was not strong enough, as it failed over time; possibly at the worst time too.
