Thanks Jdub for that link! I will definitely now be adding grounds to my igniter, coil pack, and oxygen sensor. All looked to be very simple, and I do have an annoying erratic miss at idle. It's not that bad, but definitely there. Matbe these grounds can help.

Let him know that you would then be giving him invaluable experience as a bonus. He will not only get hands on experience, but also advise from someone who knows while he does the parts he does. And, the help that you get will not be all that helpful as he is not a trained mechanic.
