sounds like me..
i have 3 taillight failure boxes, 1 allows me to use brake lights, but the taillights wont light up at all..
the other two will light up with the headlights, but when i press the brakes, there's no change..
the 1st box also causes my lights to dim and my voltmeter to drop a...
I personally love subtlety...
I wouldn't get them now, though, due to the fact that my car needs a few other things 1st, but I'd love a set eventually...
So its not just me..
I don't think it is normal, just very common..
I spoke to a man at KFC with a mint 86, and he said he's never seen the voltmeter do anything of that sort. So I'm guessing its happenening to those of us with non-oem alternators..
I'm thinking of that mr2 turbo...
