Yes Duane, I wanna be your friend... :icon_razz We'd be like brothers... And you better get video this weekend...
I know what you mean... I lived in Mobile, and I COULDNT leave either... It just sucks you in and traps you... Damn bama... :D:D:D Oh and i read your post, it wasnt stupid...
*looks around* Hmmm, nope, no hurricanes, THIS season... ;) Humidity, no more than the great north west, lol... Rust? *looks at my car* nope, no rust... :D:D: No excuses... Get your Uhaul and come on down...
My brother lives in tacoma... Might have to think about it... I just dont like all that rain... You guys should move here, to the beach, the sun... :D:D:D
I'll be happy if I have my motor IN by next month... :( You start months after me, and finish months before me... I wish you guys were here to help me...
Sean is on here, his screen name is 2JZMKIII... Tell him I sent you... Talk to him and see what he can get you a street disk for... I had an ACT street disk before I switch, and it was REALLY smooth... I loved it... Great for daily driving... Just toss the 6 puck... And stay away from stock...
Its not detonation that blows head gaskets... ;)
1: head gasket material... Stock hg's are pressed wax paper or somethign with copper rings holding all that compression (boost) in...
2: Toyota in their genius, and I understand the fear of over tightening an aluminum head to an iron block...
That my firend is what we call a dirty motor... Time to clean it up and refresh it... Feel free to add forged internals, tubular manifold, and a ffi! Along side that, add a nice big fat turbo... :D:D:D
How could you increase boost if you have a boost leak? :icon_conf
fastSupra: first thing you need to do is basic maintanence... Make sure your car is ready for higher boost... Check all your piping, tighten the couplers, look for worn out hoses, elbows, etc... Then do a compression check...
Man, i honestly dont know... I hope someone chimes up that can provide more accurate info... I know what a slipping clutch feels like, but it wasnt grindy... I'd just get on it and I could feel it not going... Like it was going, but not, you know? Just doing my build and having a new clutch...
Talk to Sean @Titan and tell him you want an RPS street disk... 6 puck is an aggresive disk... A full street disk engages alot smoother, and would work better for you... Instead of having six pucks, it has a full face surface that you can engage smoothly... What kind of pressure plate are you using?
