    removing egr

Okay - what part are you NOT getting? THERE ARE NO ISSUES. If there were, there would be plenty of people complaining about it. I see none. Every single person within the UK that's removed EGR has had *NO* problems. There are FOUR ECU's for the UK. Two Yellow, Two Grey. One Auto, One Manual...

    removing egr

Poodles - 95 RON is equivalent of 91.5 PON. Average in the US is what, 87/88/89 octane? I've *NEVER* heard of anyone removing EGR getting detonation on our fuel. I've never in my life experienced it, and i've run more than a few turbocharged cars, none of them designed for EGR either. Our...

    removing egr

Poodles - this is someone from the UK. We don't run on piss-water fuel in the UK - minimum you can get is 95 RON. Our cars are NOT US-spec ECU's. Early cars here didn't have EGR at all. We also require no charcoal canister. Please, before you post up in a thread what can and can't be done, at...

National Pride. Do people still feel it??

I'd love to be able to say i'm proud to be British, but unfortunately, we're a nation that now punches above its weight. We're virtually bankrupt, a whole generation or two of our people have the entitlement mentality, and some of the things that we do on the world stage, can be embarassing...

1990 Toyota Supra Turbo Buildup - Satans Little Helper...

The grease thing is fine for holding the washer on....its LOCATING THE BOLT thats the massive pain in the ass :( It's always about 1mm out, or slightly wonky, just that little bit that even though you're at the hole, you're not bang on straight, and thus you can't thread it :/

Actor Ryan Dunn Of ‘Jackass’ Killed In Car Accident

I work on the basis of 'if i drive, i don't drink AT ALL' or 'if i've had a drink, i refuse point blank, to get behind the wheel of a car'.

1990 Toyota Supra Turbo Buildup - Satans Little Helper...

So my work on this has so far been hampered by poor weather, and a distinct lack of Mojo. However, on Tuesday, when the sun came out, I thought 'enough is enough!' and went outside for a few hours, determined to swap out the water feed & return on the turbo, as the softline kit I have is just...

Computer died, Whats changed since the P4, update me plz

To be honest, if you're not a gamer, and just want stability and reliability at a decent price, go AMD. Core i5 is overkill for your needs. Since the P4, on the intel side there has been: Core2Duo (E4xxx, E6xxx, E7xxx and E8xxx series) Core2Quad (Q6xxx, Q8xxx and Q9xxx series) Core i7, i5 &...

....the TUV. Thats the name of the agency.

    Car registration expenses?

The TUV is the hardest inspection you could ever face. They check EVERYTHING. Not just emissions, but the suspension geometry, headlight intensity - wear in the floormats, ffs. The prices aren't too bad, but not as low as the UK.

I'd avoid that like the plague anyway. Cheap. Chinese. Copy. Crap.

    Car registration expenses?

Well Cars don't hold their value in the UK at all - i can buy a running car from a pub, from 'some guy' for £50. That, and the amount of false claims from certain ethnic groups 'oooh, i got whiplash' and the fact that the most minor damage to a car more than 10 years old is usually considered...

    Car registration expenses?

Rules changed this year for things 'built in your shed'. As with previous years, any kit car or any vehicle imported from Japan or the US has to go through the SVA test, they check about 200 things on the vehicle, from brakes to lights, emissions and whatnot - to determine if it falls within the...

    Car registration expenses?

Thats $300 per YEAR. It started going down once the new government came in - used to be about $320. Cars post 2001 have an A to F efficiency rating (based on CO2 in kg/m emitted), so someone in band A pays nothing, someone in band B pays $50 a year, whereas someone in band F pays $2000 a year...
