2JZ-GE is 2JZ-GE. It uses a cable regardless of what it came from. The VVTi 2JZ-GE came in the MK4 in 1998 only (USDM) The JDM MK4 was produced until 2002 (I think), and used VVTi on the 2JZ-GE and -GTE. If I'm mistaken on any of the information, someone else please correct me.

They came in JZA70's, not MA70's with 1JZ swaps. Like I said before, a legal/authentic/stateside JZA70 in pristine/stock condition (if it were ever to happen) would possibly qualify as a collector car. Not quite... 20+ years can qualify it for antique vehicle status, not collector car.

JetJock hit it right on the nose, it's the connector for the anti-theft horn. That relay (or whatever it is) above the clutch master is in the spot where the TDS horn is supposed to be.
