I wish I had that CF hood. But its hella expensive. Which Bomex are you talking about? The whaletail or the taller one? I'd buy the tall one if I could find it, but Bomex does not produce or sell it any longer.

The OEM gaskets have never been a problem for me, you just need to make sure you clean all of the old material off. For that I use gasket scrapers, razor blades, and brake cleaner. The brake cleaner helps do speed the disintegration process of the material (or so it seems), and the scraper helps...
