Okay, so I ordered the European-spec glass headlights and TRD sway bars today. Should be nice to get rid of those stupid yellow plastic RHD headlights! Pics to come! Jeff

Building a Widebody Quicksilver JZA80 (Now with New pics!)

Well, it's been a little bit since the last update... okay not that long, but still. I should post something right? Still haven't managed to get any pictures of the car outside, but with all the snow that may not happen for a little bit anyways. New CCW SP500 wheels are finally here and on...

Sard Denso 63560 injectors are the closest you'll find. They're 540cc side-feed high-impedance injectors with the same connectors as stock. Jeff

    MK4 igniter?

The 2 igniters work differently if I understand the systems correctly. Also your 7M diagram is incorrect, not sure where it came from, but mine from Toyota is slightly different. Also you seem to have the diagrams backwards in your head, haha. Read on... As I understand it: On the 2JZ, there...

Are 7m-gte clutches the same as GE?

Actually gears 2 and 3 on the R154 are shorter than the W58, only 1 and 5 are taller, and only by a very small margin. Gear 4 is obviously the exact same between the two. If you actually look at percentage difference between gear shifts on the 2 transmissions, you'll also find that they are...

Is there a trick to pulling the timing belt gear

Umm... the sensor ring on the timing gear cannot be had by itself, it only comes with the timing gear, they're not separate. Jeff

Questions on differences between 7M-GTE and 7M-GE.

Toyota never sold people with pre-89 blocks/cranks the newer stuff. It doesn't change up like that. If you order a pre-89 crank or block, that's what you'll get, or you'll likely be told it's obsolete/discontinued. 6M and 7M cranks are still available. Only newer reinforced bare...

    stock alarm disableing ignition?????

If that doesn't work, try the passenger side lock, it's possible the slipring on the driver's side lock cylinder is worn. If it is, chances are the passenger one isn't. Jeff

    Factory Alarm

Security system was only for USA, no other country ever had it. Also, the holding the handle thing was removed from Toyotas in North America for the 1988 model year (across the board). They kept doing it in Japan until who knows when. My brother's JZA80 you still have to hold the handles to...
