the guy said that the car hasnt had a battery in it for about 2 years would that clear the ecu memory of the alarm being on or will the alarm control system still remember it? im going to do what hvyman and shaeff said just remove the alarm comp and ground the wires

can you explain it a lil more like where it is and where the interuption may be some people have said that by just turning the key a certain way can reset it and allow it to start

im interested in buying a 1887 turbo but after talking to the guy he said that something with the alarm system is causing the car to not crank. is there a way that the alarm can be disabled or disconnected to try and start the car

im planning on jsut doing a stock rebuild for now so that i can get use to te 7m and at a later time upgrade and rebuild it after i have the feel of everything. im probly going to get the motor in the next few days and start going through it. thanks you for the info. i plan on replcing pistions...

thanks hvyman i have taken automotive classes and my teacher just always used plastiguage and automatically said if it needed oversized or standard and has never really explained it to us why and how he found out.so what i need to do is take the bare block to a machine shop he will measure it...

before anyone says it i have searched and have read and studyed many threads on 7mgte rebuilds. but i was wondering if there was a thread that covered every aspect of this motor such as from measuremnts to small details to installing parts etc. planning on buying a gte soon and rebulding...

yea i was looking at other colors but i know many dont like it, but the burgandy/maroon color has really grown on me

nothing is really wrong with it just want to tear it apart and have a fresh rebuild on it so that i may not have to do it later on down he road. yes its a non-turbo. whats wrong with the water pump and oil pump

im thinking soon im going to pull out my engine and freshin it up and do a rebuild on it i have found a few kits on ebay and have heard to just throw away the headgasket and get an oem im just wondering what kits yall have you and had sucess with. i have posted a few to see what yall think and...

cause i have a burgandy interior and idk if i want to go through the trouble of switching out the interior and stuff like that.lol
