    6m crank

The only published info I have seen is in the general description in the factory repair manual. The original 7M crank, where ever it came from (6MGE) had 8 counterweights for the 6 pistons. The updated one is listed as 12. I never saw a TSB for it going into further detail, or any for that...

    Auto tranny wont downshift

I still dont know what is wrong. Leave your buddies car out of the description if it isnt the car in question. You cant reach high engine speed becuase of early upshifts? And it wont downshift when at highway speed?

Yes the valve cover needs to be off to remove the first cap. FIPG is required when installing the end cap. Did you apply it?

timing light flashes different rates on different plug wires

High resistance in wire will change the reading. That c clamp is a magnetic pickup. It reads the magnetic field opening and collapsing and generates a signal from that. You need to have the clamp as close to the head as possible. And there is no need to put it on another cylinder but cylinder...

    Cam Seals or HeadGasket?

A cam seal installed correctly will not leak when installed after a rebuild. I suspect they are not installed correctly. Possibly a bit crooked in there.

    turbo on a GE

fuhg it.... The old Cartech kit was for an advertised 300 hp. Automobile magazine way back when said it scooted extremely well. I still have that issue along with many others. The HKS kit trapped at 107 in turbo magazine at a little over 300 to the wheels. Both kits are long since extinct...

    increase in power on 89+

You miss read what I miss wrote. Of course the two hp is there, that was the point of the thread. It has nothing to do with mapping.

    increase in power on 89+

The difference was the wastegate actuator. It was altered to spool a bit quicker giving that bump in torque. It went from 245 to 254. With no other mapping changes, the total hp didnt change. Just the area under the curve.

NEW FEATURE: Ride Of The Month

I like the idea. As it should be. While machines like malloynx and reignmaker are probably bitchin to drive, most Supras arent built that far.

    O/D light blinking?

The blinking O/D light is an indicator of a fault. You need to retrieve the DTC's as indicated on the TSRM online. On another note, there isnt a reason to drive with the O/D button deactivated. There are only a few instances when you should have it off. The old GM 700R4 renamed 4L60E was...

    The New Supra?????

I never ever bought a Supra becuase it has an inline 6. I bought it becuase of the final package, not how they got there. I take it many of you have never driven or ridden in a newer (97+) V6 Camry or Avalon, and seen what a smooth engine can be with balance shafts, sequential injection, time...
