You could always blow $3200 on the HK$ T04Z, an intended replacement for the T04R. The compressor is the same I believe, but the housings are redisgned for spool. Can't say I have read a review on it anywhere.
I have to disagree. That is just a plain bad idea. Why use oil that needs more heat to flow? It makes no sense. Seeing your gague on the dash rise does not mean your engine is getting more oil.
Actually, a coolant leak is an engine problem. BHG is a symptom of another problem, such as a leak. Not saying yours is gone now, but find it and fix it.
Air is a great insulator, and coolant is a terrible one. So it leaves hot spots in the head.
Those are symptoms of worn synchronizer rings. The grinding is the pointed clutching teeth out of sync. The pointed teeth are there just to hold it in gear, the groves on the inside of the ring are the problem.
A teardown will tell you the full the truth though.
