If spark was cut like some aftermarket devices, you could fill the crank case with fuel, diluting the oil. And you can put too much fuel in the catalytic converter. Fires in the cat have happened. Best to just shut the fuel off.

Sounds like bad wiring to me. The sending unit varies resistance between the guage and ground. I haven't had one out in some time, so I don't remember which way, but it will either be this way, or the opposite. If the guage is grounded with its proper supply voltage, you will show full. Or...

401k is retirement. You can pay tax now at known rates, or when you retire at what should be lower rates based on smaller distribution. Social security is a US supplement that was started to create a dependent class of citizens. Many people just assume it will be there one day.
