    power gains with ACIS unplugged

Your copy and paste is appreciated because it is accurate, but that(more than one valve) is the description for the later cars and not ours. What the OP is describing is impossible to do with the system. We have one valve inside the plenum, and the default position is open. With a...

    Starter possibly?

Can you turn the engine over with a breaker bar? Do a voltage drop test. That means put one end of the test lead on the battery. Use the other end with a alligator clip jump wired and put it on the battery cable at the starter. Have a buddy turn the key to crank and see what the reading is. It...

    Intermittent misfire

Thanks for repeating what I just said. :) I went to ebay to pull some adds for scopes. One is fancy that I didn't use at Toyota because most 1MZFE Camrys run hitch free a long time. The Fluke 95 I used often for other things...

7mGE turbo NOS, alcohol, methanol, ethanol, VP race fuel....

If you are really going to build the engine to be strong and reliable, and use stand alone, don't got so low on compression ratio. It costs you power in exchange for durability if you detonate. Which you shouldn't with stand alone.

    Intermittent misfire

Because you are lean. Which is why the car starts ok for many people, then runs bad when warmed up. Cold start strategy can request nearly double the fuel volume on each pulse. Notice how the cracked intake piping cleared up a bunch of his driving problems? ---------- Post added at 08:16 AM...

89 supra runs good when cold but like crap when hot.

Power is only applied to the cold start injector while the key is in the crank position. And ground is lost when the coolant is heated. What you stated is impossible without rewiring. Yeah. Pretty much. GM used the power steering pump to drive the brakes on some models. That is copied from...

89 supra runs good when cold but like crap when hot.

Because you fabricated GM hydraboost? Pay close attention to where the power for the cold start injector comes from. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=038

    low end garbage!! 86.5 N.A.

The ratio's are nearly identical. 5th is a little shorter in the W58. He needs the ACIS to work right, and ditch the too tall gearing and wheels.

    accelerator issues

If you ran into fuel cut, you wouldn't have a backfire(muffler explosion) because the fuel is cut. But since the engine is out of time, it just pumps fuel straight into the exhaust. And check the TPS while you are at it. If you are out of time by a tooth, you can usually still bring the engine...

    Mass Air Flow Sensor?

No mechanical flap. That is called in the automotive world "Vane airflow meter". It still measures volume, and mass is calculated. Translated = The Karman vortex meter generates a frequency based signal by the "mirror" fluttering in the air stream and reflecting from the LED to a...

    Low voltage at idle

I have no comment about your particualr setup and where you are getting your reading. When current is flowing good, voltage reading will be lower. When there is high resistance to flow, voltage goes higher to push through the resistance.

    Electrical in the engine section?

In a related item, the radiator fluid level switch is the "bird cage". You can pull the instrament cluster to visualy check if to see if it is in order. It wouldn't hurt to look at the connector. The front of the EWD explains thes symbols, and the section itself shows where that connector...

This outta be good... WHAT DEFINES A RICER?!?!?!?!?!

This beauty was in Kuwait. I also have a Civic CRX with minimal damage. And those are a dime a dozen, so I will save the server space.

86.5-88 has the best tach and speedo. Here is my other car that isn't the Supra.

Did Toyota ever change headgasket torque?

Go down the drain? You do realize that most didn't blow their headgasket. As you see in the post above, the engine was used in many cars around the world. I am on my 5th Supra, and have had one go bad from my own intentional doing. At 75lb/ft, and no loose bolts, it isn't an issue. The 4Runner...

Just so you know, I wasn't poking fun at you.

Did Toyota ever change headgasket torque?

The block had a tenency to cavitate in the rear when low on coolant. That isn't from the head. Most of the quote is baloney. I have read they wanted to do the asbestos gasket, but have seen no proof. Nor do I believe it. Graphite gaskets are strong, and used in many performance applications. All...

That higher value should be used, but the stock spec is 58 lb/ft.

    1UZFE fitted to a Z32 300ZX

Interesting swap. I like it. Any reason you didn't use an A340E with its shorter 1st gear? The 341 is 2.5:1, or something real close to that if you didn't know.
