    MkIII Owner Demographics?

Not surpsrising. Cali has the most if many models. Also the most motorcycles and private aircraft. I'm guessing population density, weather, and wealth account for some of it. Course, that may not come into play so much when talking about a car as old as this one.

    Heres the video..

Just because you can't feel any difference doesn't mean it's useless. It's just that with it disconnected the ecu compensates. The throttle angle in the TPS is needed for precision injection control and switching injection modes. The IDL contact runs everything from the ISC system, to cutting...

    *Cad File Request*

Very nice IJ, very nice indeed. I have a older Bridgeport and a Maximat Compact 11. Both are DRO equipped but manual. The tooling gets expensive though...it's never ending. Btw, CNC is for pussies ;). I have a Thermal Arc GTSW 300 for GTAW. (GMAW is also for pussies ;) ). I'd be lost without...

    Heres the video..

I didn't think it was your TPS. As I said in another post, you could disconnect it and drive around all day without noticing a difference. The ecu is smarter than you think. It's not going to strand you unless one of only a very few things happen. You could disconnect the coolant sensor, TPS, O2...

    Heres the video..

Well, we have to assume you know *something*. If not you shouldn't be even near the car with tools. Besides, what to jumper is in the manual. Yes, jumper E1 and T. No one said you'd get a click but you should get a code 51 with the pedal slightly pressed. If not that's a problem. Do you get a...

    Oil Leak!!!

That's one way to plug the hole;) Speaking of the Fumoto, some people fear it'll open or get torn out. It certainly can't open on it's own but here's a story I posted a while back. Keep in mind the odds of this happening to anyone are pretty slim. Fwiw, I have Fumotos on all my cars. I swear...

    Oil Leak!!!

Lol, they'd have to replace it with something Grim ;) I've had one on my car for 17 years. A very well made gadget that saves time. Plus since it never gets removed it never gets a chance to leak. Course, I no longer change my oil as much as I used to but the Fumoto is still there and a...

    Heres the video..

Good advice ;) Porter, I'd given up on you because you asked me to explain how everything worked and after I did you went and asked the same questions a few posts later. You basically wasted my time and unlike you I don't have a lot of it left. Look, it's simple. Forget the feelers, what you...

    Whats your oil temp/pressure?

I know what I don't know. How bout you? While I applaud your use of metrology the data gathered is worthless if you don't undertand what it means. I did enlighten you...in my first reply. I'll just say this: Not only are you worried about nothing but that Scamsoil is way too thick for your...

    Whats your oil temp/pressure?

Not me, I've learned my lesson. People can put maple syrup in their engines for all I care ;) Standby on the addy....

    Whats your oil temp/pressure?

Lol, good one. Is there anyone else here who knows about oil? Anyone? Bueller? ;)

    Whats your oil temp/pressure?

From Amsoil's product specs: 20-50W has a Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C of 18.1 cSt. Yikes.

    Idle problem sovled?

Lol, your breaking my heart. Why didn't you become a bus driver afterwards? Lots of guys I know came over from the military but we prefer transport types to fighter jocks. They're too hard to work with ;) The Talon is a thing of beauty alright. For it's age it's one of the best looking...

    Idle problem sovled?

Lol, no kiddin'. Good for you. Yeah, I know you can't own one. Mine is not all mine, two other guys involved. The thing would eat me alive if I owned it alone. Fun but no doubt gutless compared to the Viper/Falcon ;)

    Idle problem sovled?

Lol yeah, this kid is one alright but he still needs help and I'm trying the best I can. That said, unless he learns to help himself I'm gonna be forced to give up. Nice avatar btw. It's cheating unless you own it though ;)

    Idle problem sovled?

Come on Sport, you're not telling me much. This is a digital closed loop feedback system. You can't just say it "idles when cold". And forget the coolant lines, I already told you they aren't the problem. How does it idle cold? When you first start it what is the rpm and outside temp? What is...

    Idle problem sovled?

That's not a sensor, it's the idle speed control valve. It's a stepper motor driven valve that opens and closes under ecu control to bypass air around the throttle plates. Disconnecting it's coolant lines won't do squat to solve your problem. Short story: The ecu has different target idle...

FIPG - What Chemicals Break it Down?

Yep, gas will do it. So will toluene. Bad stuff though. Funny, I've pulled oil pans 4 times on these engines and never used anything but a regular gasket. Didn't know any better at the time I guess but I've yet to have a pan leak.
