Just FYI but a GTE should start with the AFM disconnected. I've yet to see one that wouldn't as long as everything else is working. Besides, the AFM signal isn't even used during cranking. Since there's not enough air flow for reliable Karman generation the computer substitutes for it until...
I'll withhold comment other than to say he ought to forget about Prosport and engineer some method of spelling correctly. That way he won't be an embarrassment to engineers everywhere...
You can rebuild the pump but better to get a new one. Make sure it's really coming from there first and do a flush before changing the pump. If you're smart you'll put a filter in the return line afterwards. I use a Magnefine:

^ Ouch. Just for that some true nerdiness follows ;)
Shredder: I'm saying the ECU needs to have advance turned off and the engine idling. IDL also controls the idle speed system and the TCCS requires the engine be at a prescribed idle speed for initial timing to be set. Put simply shorting T...
Jumpering T and E removes all timing control from the ECU's microprocessor and routes it through the backup chip instead. In other words ESA is disabled. Once timing is set and control handed back to the MPU timing should advance. Also, it's not possible to set initial timing if IDL is open. If...
The process is called ionization, where an electrical discharge through a gas causes an imbalance in the number of electrons or protons in their atoms or molecules. In this case oxygen and nitrogen. The result is plasma. One of the various ways excited atoms lose the energy and return to their...
The dreaded code 25/26. These don't happen often and can be difficult to resolve. I'll get back to this when I have more time.
There is no code 54. I assume you mean 52 or 53 which means a knock system problem. Neither will be set from sensing knock. The O2 sensor is polarized but you can't...
Your opinion is fact ;)
An interesting tidbit: Many people aren't aware of this but 75% of blowby, by technical definition, occurs during the compression stroke when there is no combustion pressure to expand and seal the rings. It's this blowby that PCV systems were originally designed for, to...
I'm unfamiliar with the Sun gadget but I'm sure it's crap too. I won't bore you with the technical details but come on, just look at the claims being made by these things.
Overall your battery does this job very well and the ECU takes care of the rest. They're all you'll ever need. That and...
It's crap Datsrboi. Pure unadulterated oil of snake at any price. Even if it could "stabilze" system voltage it wouldn't provide any benefit at all. Remember, there's one born every minute...
It wasn't my intent to bust the guy's balls but come on. Maybe it's me but the question reveals a lack of motivation or ability to either reason something simple out or to just look it up using readily available documentation. In other words he's projecting the appearance of being either lazy or...
If you have a compressor handy you can also inject air into each cylinder and listen/watch at the rad. Still not as good as carbonic acid/ph testing though. Course, that test is only good if the HG failed into the coolant system. There are other failure modes that render the chemical test...
Well, where do you think the suction (supply) port in a hydraulic system is likely to be? Would it make sense for it to be halfway up the tank? Which port goes to the pump? Which is below the tank's screen?
Good stuff Starret. Not that he needs it but I can only imagine what that 48" graduated and beveled goes for. He might want to look at ENCO instead: www.use-enco.com
Not that I'd buy any of that crap ;)
Lets not get confused here. Prepping isn't the same as measuring. My two cents is it's not the block he needs to worry about unless it's getting a MHG. It's the aluminum stuff that needs checking and it can be taken to any shop for that. If the OP is not going to use a MG he can pretty much...
While a CMM is nice to have most people don't own one. That said precision straight edges in the length you need are readily available from any machine tool supplier. They aren't cheap though.
You have that big red wire on the alternator going to ground? That's gonna be interesting. The alternator is grounded by it's mounting.
The plug looks to be for the one of the AC relays under the fuse box.
Just wire everything according to the book. Guaranteed to work.
