    Brand NEW 1995 RX-7

You really see someone paying 80k for an auto though Mike? I'm with Nashman on this one, manual, MAYBE. Auto? I wouldn't touch it with a 10' connecting rod. :p

I found a MKIII I'm going to ask about buying...but...

Well, good luck, keep us posted whatever you decide. If nothing else, it might be a good idea to let him know about SM. As for your surface rust question, I would kinda have to see what you're talking about to really be able to give a good argument either way. I mean, brake rotors rust really...

    Brand NEW 1995 RX-7

Not gonna lie, an FD has always been on my top 5 of cars I'm reasonably able to afford before I'm too old to enjoy them. Hell, I could afford one next year if I'd quit working on upgrading the Mk3... Anyone know if they still make the track only variant? I know there was a particular racing...

I found a MKIII I'm going to ask about buying...but...

I say take it for a ride. Windows up, radio off, and go... get it on the highway if you can, see how it behaves and how it sounds. My car got t-boned, and there is a LOT of wind noise unfortunately. That would be my personal #1 if I were looking at a new Mk3. If you can arrange a test drive, see...

MK3 Killed a 2010 GTI, but not without a good time

Heh, nice. I remember an older riced out GTI being the one that my 7m finally popped it's HG on...

Anybody else suspect this lady is well into her 50's, judging by how old that monitor is? :p Also, anybody else ever chip a tooth on fucking CHEERIOS???

    1jzgte 260z first drive!

Mine smoked for a few days... course, I also happened to forget to tighten one of the coolant hoses all the way, so it was keeping it wet haha... :p

    Question about the MKIII firewall

Most cars also let heat into the car unless you have the temp set to a lower setting... Chevies are notorious for that, I was rather pleased that I could drive my 88 without having any air coming through the hvac at all. :) So, if I set the hvac controls to 65, and I *don't* have the valve on...

2010 Colorado Toyota Meet (June 27)

I'm kinda flipping a coin on this one. It's a 400 mile drive one way for me. :nono: Would definitely go if I had a reason to be in Denver the night before though... anybody happen to know if there are any good concerts that Saturday?

    Question about the MKIII firewall

I have a similar problem but mine is more due to the fact that the heater valve is out of the system right now (the valve that lets coolant into the heater core, or bypasses it entirely, mine exploded), and there's always hot coolant running through my heater core, just kinda radiates out... I...

    Let me see your trunks!

I had a pretty nice setup in my old 88, but never took any pictures. Somebody wanted it more than I do though, so they stole it. :( Gonna be putting something together soon though, I've got a few ideas floating around. ;)

    Isn't a 60-1 a different rear housing for the ct26?

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

While I agree in respects to the power of this engine (especially if you could get some 11.0:1 or higher compression pistons), I seriously doubt it would fit in a Mk2 happily. Even 1j's are a bit of a squeeze, and they are shorter than the 4200 am I correct? If so, you'd have to work out a way...

I found a MKIII I'm going to ask about buying...but...

Hard to say without knowing the owner really. There's an old FJ60 Land Cruiser at the local Toyota dealer that has either been restored, or never seen the outside of a building, it's also immaculate. Nice truck. I remember that at Tony Divino Toyota (I believe in Provo, Utah if I'm not...

    1jzgte 260z first drive!

Apparently they don't like people borrowing their bandwidth IJ, here's the url that you end up at when you click your link: http://www.zgeek.com/noleech.jpg I noticed the 'no leech' part there, but nothing comes up on that page, at least not for me. :(

I found a MKIII I'm going to ask about buying...but...

Your dad could be correct, or it could be a car held by the dealer as being 'not for sale'. I know of a 1990 Miata Special Edition (BRG paint, hardtop, a few other year exclusive options) that was at a Mazda dealer in Mesa, AZ, that was an example of this. Thing was immaculately clean and only...

    Which battery?

Depending on conditions I'd say go with an Optima. Had the old Walmart battery that I bought the car with for a while, and it didn't like cold winters (Wyoming, typical to be -20*f on occasion). Replaced it with an Optima redtop, and found out that the grease in the starter can actually FREEZE...
