Spacers are perfectly fine. I know many that use them at the tracks. Even I did too. But of course better off set > spacers. but if you need them then they are find if you set it up right. both 17 and 18 are cool just get the right offsets.
I would love a more fuel efficient car. 250 mile a tank isn't cutting it. I am waiting for my sister to get a car and trade her for DD purposes since she does not have to drive as far as I do.
It is because of the demand of a MK4. And because many think it is a good looking car (which I think it is) so a shell would probably sell for more then a nice running MK3. It is just the way it is. Just like many other cars out there.
