I used to have flex-a-lite's on my car, and went back to stock.
Do E fans work well? Yes. Better than stock? No. Did i get more power with E fans? No.
Did i occasionally have a weak battery from the E fans running after shutdown? Yes.

Yup, but there's no distortion to the inner surface, or the plane of the mounting face.
And thus, no affect(wobble) on the plane of rotation of the belt face.
That price sounds pretty much impossible.
If they actually used oem valves, springs, & retainers, then the parts cost alone would exceed that total price.
I would expect to pay at least $320 for just the machine work.

Too mush polishing reduces efficiency.
Anyway, as luck would have it, the cam gear seller emailed me, saying that he was out of stock on the silver cam gears, and issued me a refund, so turns out no $$ wasted after all.

Some sorta good news/bad news.
The replacement of the backplate bolts with some buttonhead screws did indeed solve the clearance issue
with the AEM cam gears. Also, after taking apart the damaged gears, i found that the two depressions on each gear actually fell...
