Well - bodywork i'm kinda scared of doing - cause its so easy to screw up! The only thing really wrong with my mouldings, are the front ones that the side repeaters sit in have started to warp and twist - and they dont look very pretty. I'd ideally like to get replacement ones, although not...
Argh - i had this thing on mine - the AC works but no blower motor for anything. The resistor pack had gone on mine and was about 24 quid iirc from the dealership. Make sure you get the right resistor pack! If in doubt, take in your old one - i didnt and made the mistake of ordering the one for...
I quite like the idea of Gold rims. If you look at Kaminari's website, the '88 supra kit they still sell on there has some publicity shots - i *want* those wheels. BBS style split rims (R005's?) with gold centres - Yummeh! :D
In fact - i want that exact car...
How much would a donor cost there? Here - supra's in bad condition (and unfortunately, there are a lot of them) are anywhere from £200 to £400 depending on age
Ooops - i didnt look at all the pictures of the car - yeah, its had it mate. I suggest you find a donor shell and transfer over your stuff - at least that way you can go from a bare shell upwards...
Here's what i'd do:
1) Buy crap supra with a decent shell (one with a blown engine/box etc)
2)...
Well, i know that you can replace the rear wings - its more of a chop & weld, but i've seen pics of it being done by a body shop. As for the front end damage - it looks fairly light and easy enough to repair.
Well, my setup was had for less than £200 - which is under your $500 budget.
JVC KD-G111 Head Unit - £69.99
Toyota to ISO Plug - £13.99
Kenwood KFC-1050's - £18.99
Those little kenwoods fit in the doors perfectly and give pretty good sound. Obviously they're not going to blow people...
Owning a turbo car is loads of trouble - i've owned two before (Sierra RS Cosworth & an Escort RS Turbo - both UKDM).
The thing i hate is a) turbo lag b) reduced fuel economy c) way more expensive road tax d) way more expensive insurance.
I have an N/A specifically because its the cheapest...
Dont particularly want to go turbo, for only 30bhp more and to have all the expense of paying out £2000 for a decent engine and box, hacking the loom to bits to make it work etc - too much hassle for such a small horsepower gain, not to mention being on a virtually shoestring budget. Personally...
:squint:
See, now you're giving me idea's, although my climate control unit is the one with the sliders :(
Still - where did you get the white gauges? Shop bought/special order/fabricated?
My 'dome' lights dont work either - and theres no vanity mirror to check. I was under the impression that if the integration relay was bad, then that would cause it.
Am i correct in thinking then, that the rivets are the interior lights 'path to ground'? If so, would *any* ground point on the...
