If that rumour of 2JZ on 7M electronics is true...although, 7m-ge uses a distributor - does an N/A 2JZ use one too - or are they coil pack?
As for the vortech supercharger - looks pretty good, will have a closer look after i've finished moving...
Aah - see, thats the way i'd prefer to do it, opening the bleed screws...just seems....'safer' somehow. However, if i do that, do i have to worry about airlocks or is the system one way?
Well all previous cars i've worked on require the brake system to be bled after you move the piston, otherwise you end up with Air bubbles. If its just a matter of bolts - then it'll be a cakewalk, but the TSRM said to do something with the fluid as well, so i thought it safer to ask than just...
As stated in the topic - i've got me some 'new' pads and discs so its actually safe to drive more than 10 feet :)
Thing is - I've looked at the TSRM and it says under BR-25 section 10 (Installing Cylinder) that when installing 'draw out a small amount of fluid from the reservoir' - how is this...
1G-GZE? Well the 1G-GE's and 1G-GTE's were shoehorned into the MA70 chassis, and they dont *look* that different to a 7M - so.....how about someone finds a 1G-GZE.....to strip down and analyse of course :P
Read this whole thread or most of it before you post something please. Thanks. -Ma70.Ent

Lots of turbocharged 7M-GTE's around, but after looking carefeully at my 7M-GE with 164k miles on it - how easy would it be to...
Mmm - Garrett T3 :)
Those were stock on the Ford Escort RS Turbo's - 1.6 litre CVH engine running insaaaaaane boost....
Also came on the Sierra Cosworth until '93, and the Escort Turbo until '93/'94 shen they changed to the Garrett T2.
Loads of parts available for them here. They're pretty...
Other than replacing the clutch, getting a new set of rear tyres and putting in a CD headunit and speakers, i've done nothing to it - the previous owner had added a K&N 57i and a Front Strut bar though...
I had someone about 2 weeks ago that pulled up along side me in a Caddillac (CTS??) - dunno what it was, it was just wierd seeing a caddillac pulling up at the lights in the UK - and the person driving it looked out the window, sneered at me, i scowled back - they wound down the window and said...
I pay about £1808 per year for Third Party Fire & Theft - and i'm 24 :(
Insurance in the UK for anything over a 1.5 is nuts, unless you have about 10 years no claims and drive less than about 5000 miles a year.
And on another note - a 1.1 Fiesta would barely move with me in it - my little '92...
Okay - well, here are pictures of my virtually totally stock ride :icon_conf
Since those were taken, i've replaced the stereo with a JVC KD-G111 (iirc). Nothing else has changed! :naughty:
NOS? Personally, i dont like the idea of it - and would prefer to make boost (if i had a turbo engine, that is :D ) the old fashioned way ;)
Forget the NOS, just run 28PSI through it :P
So far i've been moaned at for it being:
a) Ridiculously expensive to run & insure
b) Old - ie, "Why would you want to buy a car so old?"
c) Cramped in the rear (although i can see why - i'm 6'4)
d) Expensive to repair
e) Too wide
f) Too long
g) Too Loud
h) Too 'Obnoxious'
And many...
