    New time 11.81 @ 117 CT26 powered 7M NEW RECORD!!!

Well done sir. Bet you with a set of skinnies up front and a set of dedicated drag wheels (Welds?), you'd be hitting 11.5's without much trouble. Lose weight where it matters for this sort of thing, but leave the interior as intact as possible! :)

Just found out my thyroid has to be removed

Did you have 17lbs to lose? I know if I lost that kind of weight, people would think I was on drugs of some sort... I'd be pretty sickly looking. :p

Anyone seen this color MK3 before?

Don't really have to worry about that too much, we're lovers here, not haters. ;) Personally I always found the stock suspension to be a lot of fun off roading... This is true, check the plate on your firewall if your car still has it. Should be a 3 digit code under 'color' or 'paint', I...

Widebody: S2 front fenders and Kaze Aerocraft rear fenders (Shineautoproject Replica)

Mytymk3, you might be stretching a 295 kinda far on a 12" rim, would be smart to check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend first. As for wheels, I may end up going with some CCW's, but haven't really decided. Still gotta get a turbo, fuel system, some bushings, brakes, etc... my car...

HELP!!! need to know how to remove exhaust

Makita? Blah... go with a Rigid. :p Hell, by now most stock exhausts are probably falling off on their own... I know my first NA lost the muffler when the weld finally let go, driving down the road. Didn't fall all the way off though, was dragging haha...

    Motor questions for drifting

No kidding there, sliding the SS around was a matter of how much right foot I put down... I'm surprised you don't see those cars in more drifting competition, they're cheap (both in build quality and price), and can be tossed around all day with little trouble, even in stock form.

    Question about traction

You know, I found that the Nitto 555R's that came on the car when I bought it gripped just fine for cornering, but the sidewalls were a bit softer than the same tire size (regular 555, street tire). Maybe I wasn't pushing it hard enough, but they kept the rear in check during cornering just...

I was trolling Ebay and look what i found!

Think so? Are the materials used THAT exotic that it would cost MILLIONS? That's a lot of zeros man... I'd believe an entire car for that sort of money, but just an engine?

    Driveline lag?

I believe you're thinking of the driveshaft loop... Not structural, just a safety that most tracks require.

Driving unlawfully. How old are you?

Man, am I glad we're in an area with 95% deer and antelope, never heard of moose charging vehicles before. Hell, they're heavy enough, I could see them (sorta) winning against a car. Nobody really wins with a headbutt. ;) That's what I love about my Mk2, those cars have such a beautiful natural...

Hey Kiwis, I need a favor please

I'd be cautious texting to other countries... that can get expensive, QUICK. Ask me how I know haha...

    weekly car debate thread.

Personally, I'd flip a coin, as long as we're talking E-type roadster. The coupe is what I'd call... bleh. I just don't think the roof was part of the original intent of that car. :)

Driving unlawfully. How old are you?

Err... I see what you did there. :p My old lady is the same way. Doesn't really get annoyed, but she shares the same opinion of people in fast cars that never open them up. Gotta love the suicidal deer around here huh?

Chello, your Greek is coming along quite nicely. ;)

Anyone on here ever own/drive the NSX?

I see it has some sort of lip on the front, some Racing Hart CR (??) wheels, and suspension of some sort. You're not showing me what's under the hood... why not? This is the mindset I am in at the moment. I could build a stupidly extreme car out of a 7 replica, or I could have something that's...

Back from the dying? Jaguar E-type versus the Mercedes 300SL (old school gull-wing). Discuss.

    2012 Calendar Submissions

Hey, I get the daily thing man... gotta know how to make a car that gets used and abused look good. Clearly, you know how to do that. :) As for getting caught by cops driving where you really shouldn't be, that's probably smart. Reminds me of a time when a couple groups of my friends decided to...

    Driveline lag?

Try this: Get under the car, grab the driveshaft. Now try to shake it, both side to side and front to back. Now after you've done the hokey pokey, ask yourself this: "does my driveshaft move excessively?". If so, could be a number of things, such as the center carrier bearing (common to wear...
