I would still drop it in 4th for a freeway run. I'd shift out of 4th around 110 when I was NA, so there's no need to floor it in 5th @ 80. Not to mention you guys are speeding quite a bit, I dunno what the speed limit is where you live but here it's 65. I've already gotten 2 speeding tickets...
I loved my 3" catback on my NA. Its mandrel bent, the muffler is a Megan Carbon Ti, instead of a cat it has a resonator. Definetely the BEST upgrade I ever did on my NA.
A 4.30 rear, with 6500 redline (pre89), stock tire size, and w58 transmission, will top out at 152.8 (153 on the site posted)

Then you want longer gears. The 3.91 will be best for your NA. A local owner I know also recently changed out his 4.30 cuz he hated shifting so much through town.
