It was a built MKIV trans in a MKIV. They should be able to do the same with a MKIII. IIRC, the owner built one for his MKIII. I think it was Best Transmissions or something like that.

my friend is pushing 600hp 650tq through a MKIV auto that was built by a place in mass. he blew up a BL. i can get the # if you are interested.

what suspention mods can you run? if its unlimited, coilovers. oh, get a 4.3 LSD over an open and hack off the passenger side of the dash. you only need one seat (unless you are novice) for auto-x, if you are on a budget run with the passenger seat on the drivers side.

i went to autozone, snagged one of their 3" exhaust pipes and cut it down. one side is flared and fits in the stock elbow better. snagged some dumb ass autozone filter and tossed it on. done.

in certain situations, yes. others no. im not shooting for 1 bilion hp, so 2.5l is fine for me. 500 would be nice (on race gas) but im happy with 400s for the street.
