My Supra vibrates heavily after acceleration.

I see what you guys mean now, I didn't know that about the diff. Will have to look at mine next time I crawl under there. Thanks for the picture Steve, I had the right idea in my head, but this helped confirm it. :)

SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

Good man! Wouldn't mind this myself given the time and money, loved that motor. Too bad it got stuck in such crappy cars... :D

Tremec T56 Magnum. Going to try it. Information.

Search for a thread by Syst on here, he swapped in an LS6 and T56 into his car. Should find some good info and hopefully pictures/details on the swap. Good luck!

Best Streetable Turbo On A 1JZ

I know Albert is making some nice upgrades to the twin setups... might consider those as well.

Spoilers and Wings: Spoiler or wing

I figured. They'd have bigger wings if they had to actually turn though. As it is, top speed tends to be priority, and downforce kills top end unfortunately. Not bad. Looks like it's from a 240sx to me though?

suprcharged supra but its not a 1uz

I've been told by a couple people who drove a supercharged Taco, they say it feels a lot like a stock Supra turbo... Unless handling is your focus for the car, I wonder why you'd do this swap. Unique I guess...

Question about Shine Auto Rear Bumper Add-ons

Hmm... definitely not a body work guy, so take this with a grain of salt, but... what about a thin layer of fiberglass from the bottom of the add-on and the rear wheel well? Again, I'm certainly no expert, but it's something to think about. :)

    Cool/Rare parts thread?

Pretty much anything authentic Regulus would qualify. :)

Need help finding a type of work pants

I wear a Carhardt pant that is quite comfortable and has put up with everything I've put them through. Two plus years of daily abuse, and have yet to get a hole in any of them from wear. Think they were called their 'double front' pants. Basically a thick denim, that is doubled up on the front...

I hate salesmen, but I would buy from this guy!

Friend of mine back in the day used to get those calls all the time. Started pretending to be a child, messed with them quite a lot. Was pretty entertaining to watch, to say the least. :p

Attempting to track down my old vehicle

Posting up the VIN would be a good idea. I was pretty desperate to find my 88, or at least what had become of it a few years back, after realizing how much I regretted selling it. Posted the VIN to the AZ Supra forum (car was sold in, and to my knowledge, still in AZ), and a year or so later...

Who wants to move to Australia?

This pretty much said it all folks. I live in a boom/bust area, and just bought a house. Well, half of a house anyway, it's a duplex. I paid about 50k more than a house that is 1000sq/ft bigger, not attached to neighbors, and in a much better climate (see Vegas, Arizona, etc). Unfortunately, you...

Urgent Alert: House Vote Coming Soon on CCW Reciprocity Bill

Not saying I do carry, being that I don't actually have anything TO carry, nor do I feel any particular need here... that said, I could if I wanted to. You make a good point, but also must consider the types of people who RAN those cities over the last century, i.e. mafia, gangs, etc... However...

My Supra vibrates heavily after acceleration.

How do they go out of phase anyway? I know my carrier bearing is shot to hell, as well as the bushings in the rear, but it's not a constant vibration in my case, merely a 'thunking' if I'm not smooth.

    Transmission Q

You'll need a JZ flywheel, and also a JZ bellhousing. The clutch itself is specific to the transmission, not the engine. As for the speed reading, that depends on the gear in your transmission that the speedo cable is spun by, AND your rear end, not to mention overall tire height. My...

$80 Black-and-White Photo of my Mk III!

I'm of a split opinion on highway speed limits, at least in clear, good weather in daylight conditions. On the one hand, I see the argument for slower speeds (reaction times and stopping distances are obviously better off at lower speeds, as well as overall vehicle control, not to mention crash...

    Need advice / suggestions

I wish more people understood this, we'd see more Mk3's on the road. This is actually WHY I refuse to change anything on my Mk2 until the 6m gives up the ghost. :) Basically, any rubber and fluids, you're probably going to want to change out, just due to age more than use. I bought a...

Spoilers and Wings: Spoiler or wing

Just curious what you call a 'stock' truck that can do 170mph... 120, sure. 150 if you're in a Ram SRT, sure. But 170? Come on man... I agree with you to an extent though, that you'll generally attract more attention in proportion to the size of your spoiler. However, I could paint my car...

    Horrible MPG, No Apparent Problems

With my 88 NA, I regularly saw 26-30mpg on the highway. Granted, I'm at a fairly high altitude here. That same car would get around 25mpg highway in Phoenix. Among things to look into inspecting/servicing is your alignment. How do the tires look? If it's sitting funny on the alignment specs...
