Even considering weight savings (of which I'm a huge fan in general), there are better places to replace parts. At least the subframe sits nice and low. Now if the targa panel weighed 230lbs, THAT would be a good item to consider replacing. ;)

Taller tires do the trick better and won't compromise handling... Best to start out at a mid-point somewhere to get an idea of where the car is going to sit, THEN decide. Hell, on my Megans, I can tuck tire if I want.
