I Don't think that plexi would hold up too well to the heat. Aluminum or carbon fiber is the way to go.

No, That's a hood scoop off a 1st gen 300zx, 84-85 I think.
'77-'78 280z had recessed louver-type hood scoops. I used the same scoop as you ON my '78 280z, with a '75 hood.

Today I fabbed my catch can mount next to the ps reservoir, and worked on the support braces for my rear deck.
Yesterday, I paypal'd Kevin M. for a set of 6.5" speaker pods. Looking forward to installing those.
So today, i spent a bit of time creating some supports for the rear deck cover.
Being that it sits about a half inch higher than it used to , I needed to make 1/2" posts to support it, otherwise the hinges would take all of the weight
if I were to put anything heavy back there. Here you can...
