What motor you planning? I say a nice healthy 2jz would go perfect in there, stock twins and all. If not, the 351w would always be a nice motor, plenty of torque there to play with (drove my friends 69 fastback with a 351w and a 3 speed, soooo much fun)

If you want to ditch the hydrofan, why not run the MKIV, sc300 or soarer water pump with either the mechanical fan from said models or an electric fan?

You want that 500rwhp to be on pump or race fuels? I my self am going with a Holset hx-35 which should get me to 425ish on pump 5xx on race fuel and get me full spool under 4000 rpm. I know suprahero had great results with the gt35r and I think that is the same turbo another member here used...

Not to toss gas on the fire but, if the MKIII and the MKIV are both only luxo GT cars. One just happens to have a better overbuilt motor. IMO a sports car would be a Porsche car or a Lotus.
