Looks like I'm going to be a DAD!!!!

You gonna post all sorts of random ass pictures of your babies on facebook like people seem to do these days?

A tribute to all RX7 owners, j/k just most.

Frankly, it makes more sense for it to be off to the side, same with the older Z31 turbo cars. There's nothing that's really "in" the center that needs fresh air. :p

formula SAE car...warping the block by forcing it in...

33hp on the dyno out of the 600rr engine? Old roommate had one of those bikes, it dyno'd something like 103 at the rear wheel... I would think something is very wrong on yours.

    1jz rich problem

That's your car's way of telling you to stop driving like a sissy. It's prepping itself for boost. ;)

    another 1jzgte turbo thread

We have a member's HP thread over in the general section. Not sure if someone with your specific setup has listed their dyno figures, but that is where I would start. Welcome to the forum. :)

    87 turbo owners manual

I believe that the 8psi thing was meaning running for long periods (30+ seconds, IIRC, in my owners manual). If you run the car under that much boost for that long (climbing a long steep hill for example), it's pretty hard on the cooling system. Nick does have a good point though, if things...

    quick release bumper?

Pictures? I've thought that I might have to do something similar due to the size of the radiator/fan setup I have, might have to push things forward a smidge...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Hmm... I meant specifically as a car hobby in this price range. I wouldn't trade my Supras for any other car in this particular segment. I can't think of another 15-20k car I'd honestly rather have. Nothing I've driven, does as much, or is as nice, as a Supra, at least not if we're talking...

Tell me if this is BS

Can't be too mad at that. I love how these things start. It's small, innocent projects at first, then you swap in a turbo motor, then you start modding for more power, then you blow up turbo motor, then... well, you see where I'm going with this. :p

    VIN Breakdown

You might find whether it was a JZ, G, or M car from the vin, but I don't think you will find transmission info on our cars. All Mk3 North American vins will start with JT2MA7. The next digit would either be a 1 or a 0, depending on turbo or naturally aspirated. The 8th digit in the vin, I'm not...

    Launch recommendations?

Definitely not worried about bogging, car has never done that. I've always found that sweet spot for the most part... I've launched at 5500 on these tires on the one and only time I managed to make it to the track. No spin, no bogging, just went. Could probably have went harder, but had the...

    Launch recommendations?

Guys, probably gonna be taking my car to the track (~200 miles one way) to make a few passes, see what I can do with the current setup: -stock 1j, filter, intake, intercooler -ported head -BC264 cams -3" exhaust from turbos back -dyno'd 320whp at 12psi, going to try to track down/make an...

    Motorcycles - First time buyer/rider

Oh I believe it. It's not that I don't have self control, I'm just terrified of road conditions. I still remember like it was yesterday, hitting a patch of loose dirt/gravel that had fallen off the edge of the cliff and into the road, right in the middle of a turn. This was in a Miata though...

    The Small Questions Thread

I believe the C-pillar interior panel has a hole on it in the later cars, to mount the top part of the shoulder belt... Is the hole threaded for the bolt that the seat belt uses on the later cars though? That's what I would wonder. ;)

Laugh. My. Ass. Off. It's almost like they knew... I like the part in there about "modifying your Toyota could cause unexpected performance".

    H&R + koni yellow = dump

About what I figured would be the case. Oh well, it's not enough of an issue to go that far off the deep end for me. :)
