    Turbo Carnage! / Upgrade Discussion

Ian's got it right. I have a .016" restrictor for my brand new Comp Turbo TBB. It's crazy nuts what the BB turbos need (or don't need) for oiling.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Well I got my order from SupraSport today and this is a very impressive turbo! (It's the same as Rob's [92NSX] only a non-polished housing) 61mm, GTS housing, P-trim exhaust, .83 LIPP exhaust housing, Triple ball bearing, water cooled, this is a turbo to behold. It even spins with a breath of...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Rob- sorry I didn't answer that one earlier(like last month, lol) kinda forgot about this thread... Turbo is being built right now, and I will be picking it up this Tuesday! Probably won't be ready for the coming meet, but it will be soon after! That is all

    Oil pan gasket problem

You might need to re-do that gasket. (but I hope not) FIPG, RTV, all of them need to be installed ASAP after application. You have at most 10-15 minutes before the sealant has started to set-up and it won't seal correctly. After that there is a skin of cured rtv that forms on the outside and its...

    750rwhp carnage

You may consider trying a 5M oil pump drive pulley. They are not the "5-spoke" style that the 7M's use, they have 6 holes drilled into them so there is more material for it to hold together. Pic: center picture on page. http://yotarepair.com/ToyImages/5m-ge6.gif

What my Supra ownership has cost me over the past 3 years

lol @ sticker shock, my wife keeps track of my car's expenses (accountant), but at last count it was above $11500, no turbo, no tune. I've driven it maybe 200 miles since I bought it...

    Minnesota Supra Meet! 5/15/10

Both ;) ...I also seem to think there was a picture of the rubber sticking to Rob's mudflap/rocker too. That whole day was full of win.

mishimoto radiator fitment problems? megan radiator?

My first Mishimoto had poor fitment, but after contacting them, they said it was a labeling problem. They sent the correct one out very quickly. See my build thread if you need more details as to how it was wrong, but (summed up) it could be made to work with a little work.

High pressure power steering lines, What is required?

depends on which hose is leaking. There are 3 hose sections on the return circuit.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I like that color match, Dan! Very low-key for being a roll bar. Never going to have passengers in the back, though. Those tabs behind your seat would be damn scary to be sitting behind. Sean shish-kebob ftl, lol.

    92nsx's supra build

Oh, Rob I'm so envious. The internal seal is leaking on mine so I have it all apart for rebuilding, just waiting for the parts now...

    92nsx's supra build

Rob- nice job, but I'm interested in why the boost isn't coming on... Matt- You won't be disappointed in Rob's car, it's very nice and well done-up. (but oh, those gauges are bright at night!)

    Current gas tank level!

I guess Ian likes to drive through desolate parts like they do in the movies... Mine is empty, awaiting tank removal for new pump install.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Oil system is now done! I never though push-loc hose would be so tough to install, but heat and lube make it tolerable (barely). Fuel tank still isn't pulled, the fuel line fittings are being stubborn... http://i432.photobucket.com/albums/qq47/toyotanos/1991%20Toyota%20Supra/DSC00116.jpg...
