Ah, i was under the impression it was a standalone - not just a stock with a few tweaks :(
Still, £850 for an ECU is cheap...cant even get one for my Golf GTI (2.0 16v ABF) for less than £399 (AmD chip)
Shame there arent really too many replacement standalones though....
Looks like you can still buy new ones from MINE'S for ¥184,800 - which is about $1729.
See the below picture, and anyone that can translate from Japanese (Joe?) might be able to clarify!
heh - the difference here is minimal in terms of cost.
Average fillup on 95 RON is £1.029 a litre, so 60 litres is £61.74 ($121.80). 98 RON is £1.099 a litre so the same size fillup would cost you £65.94 ($130.08).
Thats a difference of £4.20 ($8.28) which isn't even...
I've only ever driven a manual (i cannot physically manage an automatic, i keep wanting to use a clutch that isnt there and it freaks me out not having control over when to shift) - and have done ever since i passed my test in '99....i have a heavy right foot ;)
Oh i'm never on the clutch...
